Gaumer's Online privacy statement may change from time to time, so please check back periodically.

Below is a full disclosure of the information we collect and how it is used.

Information Collection
When you choose to log into our site, we will then be able to identify who you are. The registration page asks you to enter your name, user ID, company, password and phone number (optional). You can update this information at any time by clicking under "My Account". For convenience, each time you visit your computer will automatically be logged in eliminating the need to enter your user ID and password. If you use a publicly accessible computer or wish to logout on your personal computer, click the "Sign Out" icon.

Use of Information
Gaumer utilizes a representative network, in many parts of the world, to best meet your needs on a local level. These representative companies have access to much of the same information as Gaumer concerning customer information. As such, for the exclusive purposes of privacy issues and access to personal information, these representatives are not considered to be a third party, but rather an integral part of the Gaumer organization to provide you with the highest level of service.

Personal information is also used to improve the content of our Internet system and to notify customers about website updates or for marketing purposes. Gaumer will not sell, rent or loan any identifiable customer information to any third party. Your personal information will only be provided to a third party with your express permission.

Updating Information
You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain, by phoning (in the USA 800-460-5200 from anywhere else 713-460-5200). To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.

Placing an Order
When you choose to place an order with us, you will be asked to provide ordering information which includes billing and shipping address, credit card number and expiration date. This information is used to process your order and is not shared with any other party, other than Gaumer. Only the last four digits of your credit card are stored on Gaumer's servers for your maximum protection.

When you visit or login to our site, we will request your browser to place a permanent cookie (a very small text file) on your computer. If your browser is configured to accept cookies, this enables us to recall your preferences upon future visits to the site. In the case that you log in, the cookie enables automatic log in on future visits thereby eliminating the need to enter a user ID and password. If you are using a public computer or wish to logout, you can click the "Sign Out" link or icon. Gaumer does not and cannot use cookies to retrieve personal information about you from your computer unless you provide such information knowingly.

Protecting Your Information
The security of your personal information is very important to us. In an effort to protect your information, Gaumer has implemented many safeguards including:
  • Complete credit card numbers are not stored (only last 4 digits of credit card)
  • Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology with 128 bit encryption is utilized for login and online ordering pages
  • Gaumer has obtained a digital certificate from XRamp Technologies, a leading provider of Internet trust services.
When visiting a page on our site that includes your personal information, you will see on the bottom of your browser window, an icon of a closed lock or an unbroken key (depending on your browser), this indicates that you have successfully connected with our secure server. To authenticate the security of this connection before submitting any of your personal information, you can double click on the icon to display our digital certificate.

Some browser versions and some firewalls do not permit communication through secure servers. In that case, we suggest you contact us by phone, email or fax.
